Lynette and Vivien, both established educators presented an hour of contemporary repertoire that included Debussy’s Sonata for Violin & Piano, Bartok’s First Rhapsody and Grieg’s Sonata in C Minor Op.45.

 

 
Musicians Wrestle Everywhere

It was a night of contemporary music. The band played through a wide selection of music - the playful yet insightful Opus Number Zoo from Berio, the plaintive cries from Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire, Stravinsky's dry and acerbic A Soldier's Tale and of course the title piece, Musicians Wrestle Everywhere by Judith Weir.

 

 
YMS Chinese Orchestra Concert

The thirty-strong ensemble presented some traditional melodies like Jiang Jun Ling and Xiao Li Fei Dao. Also featured were solo performances on the Dizi, Guzheng and Yang Qin.

 

Season's Greetings

Salzburg Piano Trio

The Salzburg Piano Trio was founded at the University ‘Mozarteum’ Salzburg in 2000. At 5several concerts the trio has already proved its manifold repertoire that spans from classical to Austrian contemporary music. The Salzburg Piano Trio, which was joined by the Australian violinist Scott Stiles in 2002, has been and is coached by outstanding artists such as Alfons Kontarsky, Wilfried Tachezi, Jose-Daniel Martinez and members of the Hagen Quartet.

The T’ANG Quartet was formed with unanimity of purpose: to break new ground by extending the sheer fun and enjoyment of classical music to a larger audience, as well as setting new standards of artistic achievement. Prize winners of the 2nd Internationaler Joseph Joachim Kammermusikwettbewerb in Weimar, Germany, T’ANG also received the Special Jury Prize for best interpretation of a contemporary composition.

Performing internationally to critical acclaim, T’ANG has garnered numerous international awards. Thus, who better to give an overview on classical music than the T'ANG Quartet!
